Chinese New Year 2021 falls on Friday 12th February and lasts until the final Lantern Festival on 26th February 26th. It is a celebration marking the end of winter and the start of Spring – the Spring Festival, a time for new beginnings, and traditionally the first day of the festival was to pray to the Gods for a good harvest in the coming season.

In this Chinese New Year box you will receive the following dishes.

Chinese Mushroom and Pak Choi Dumplings – 10 dumplings with red dragon dipping sauce and dumpling sauce.
Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings – Prepared roasted wings with Lu Ban salt and pepper seasoning.
Jasmine Smoked Pork Baby Ribs – Smoky meaty and sweet ribs with garlic, ginger and sesame.
Roast Duck & Pancakes – 2 duck legs with orange, plum and hoi sin sauce and pancakes.
Jiang Beef – slow braised feather blade of beef in an aromatic Jiang sauce.
Prawn Chow Mein – Peeled prawns with vegetables, bean sprouts and cabbage, bound with Lu Ban chow mein sauce and noodles.
Lu Ban Noodles – noodles with seasoning to add the authentic flavours of China.

Each dish will arrive with simple instructions on how to heat.

We freeze your dishes to keep them fresh which means they are likely to arrive still frozen. Please select your delivery date for at least the day before you intend to eat them to allow them time to defrost. Your dishes can be kept in the fridge for up to 3 days before heating. Do not refreeze.

ROAST DUCK AND PANCAKES: Duck leg, hoi sin sauce, orange marmalade, star anise, honey, wheat, cucumber, green onion, salt, brown sugar, Chinese 5 spice. JIANG BEEF: Oyster sauce, veal jus, celery, chilli, fennel seeds, bay leaf, white wine, wheat, cornflour, cassia stick, soy, broadbeans, spring onion, ginger, Szechuan pepper, star anise, cardamom. PRAWN CHOW MEIN: Prawns, wheat, carrot, bean sprouts, bamboo, cabbage, green onion, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, cornflour, chicken stock.
